It is hard for me to believe how quickly time has flown by. It doesn’t seem that long ago I was running to serve House District 41 for the first time, and I am pleased (and slightly surprised) to share with you that I have filed to run to represent House District 41 for my fourth and final term.
The time I have spent serving our community in the state legislature has been an amazing and personally fulfilling experience. I’ve been blessed to meet so many people here in the district and across the state with unique and incredible stories. And with your support, I’ve been able to pass over 45 bills to help move Colorado forward.
While we’ve been very successful, I know that there is so much more to do. In an era when we have working families still struggling to get by, an education system not meeting our kids needs for the next century, a judicial system that lacks justice for all, and so many more challenges, we also find ourselves defending what little we have against attacks from misguided conservatives on a federal and state level bent on dismantling much needed reforms, services, and programs needed here and across Colorado.
I have a track record of standing up against those that would stall progress and pull us backwards, and I am committed to continue to fight for our kids, working families, seniors and veterans. As I begin this final run, I thank you so much for all of your support in the years past and moving ahead. We have accomplished so many great things so far and I know that together we can achieve much more for families here in the district and across our state.
