2022 Election Information

The 2022 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Approximate Important Dates:

March 5, 12pm – County Caucus & Assembly
The Democratic County Caucus & Assembly will take place VIRTUALLY to determine Delegates to the County Assembly. For more information visit: https://www.arapahoedems.org

June 6, 2022 – Primary Election Ballots Mailed to Voters
Primary Election ballots will be mailed beginning in Early June to all registered voters in Arapahoe County. Please allow time for your ballot to arrive. If you have moved or wish to verify your voter information, visit www.ArapahoeVotes.gov or www.GoVoteColorado.com to update your voter registration. If your information is correct, then a ballot will automatically be mailed to you.

Mid-June – Voter Service and Polling Centers Open
Voter Service and Polling Centers will open for early voting in October. Locations remain open through Election Day. For a list of locations and times visit www.ArapahoeVotes.gov.

June 28, 2022 – Primary Election Day
The Primary Election will take place. You must have your ballot dropped off or received by 7pm. The prevailing candidate will be nominee for their party in the General Election.

October 17, 2022 – General Election Ballots Mailed to Voters
Primary Election ballots will be mailed beginning in October to all registered voters in Arapahoe County. Please allow time for your ballot to arrive. If you have moved or wish to verify your voter information, visit www.ArapahoeVotes.gov orwww.GoVoteColorado.com to update your voter registration. If your information is correct, then a ballot will automatically be mailed to you.

Late-October – Voter Service and Polling Centers Open
Voter Service and Polling Centers will open for early voting in October. Locations remain open through Election Day. Arapahoe County voters may visit any one of the Voter Service and Polling Centers to:

  • Drop-off a voted mail-in ballot
  • Register to vote in-person
  • Update voter registration
  • Replace a damaged mail ballot
  • Request a ballot
  • Vote on an accessible electronic tablet

There are no assigned polling places.

October – Last Day to Register to Vote In Order to Receive Ballot by Mail
The last day to register to vote online, by mail, through a voter registration agency or at a driver’s license office and receive a mail ballot for the 2018 General Election is Monday, October 29. After this date, those eligible to vote who wish to register to vote and get a ballot should visit a Voter Service and Polling Center.

November 3, 2022 – Last Day to Mail Back Your Ballot
The Postal Service recommends returning your mail ballot by TBD in order to ensure that it arrives in time. Return your ballot with paid postage.

After this date you must deliver your ballot to an Arapahoe County ballot box location or a Voter Service and Polling Center.

Ballots must be received by Arapahoe County by Election Day, Tuesday, November 8 to be counted.

November 8 – Election Day
General Election Day is November 8. All Voter Service and Polling Centers in Arapahoe County will be open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Ballot drop-off locations also will be open until 7 p.m.
